Membership of the Bird Stamp Society offers excellent value, starting for as little as £5 per annum.

What’s Included In Your Membership?

  • A subscription to our full colour quarterly magazine Flight, packed with information and articles that can support collectors of bird theme stamps. Members have an opportunity to contribute articles;
  • Access to a Members Only section of the website which includes a library of back issues of Flight, membership information, stamp listings and more;
  • An opportunity to join the Packet Scheme (UK members only);
  • A facility to share collecting interests, ideas and philatelic information with other members;

Membership options

Membership of the Society is open to anyone worldwide, and the subscription very much depends on three things:

  • Whether you wish to receive Flight via email or hardcopy (post);
  • Where you live in the world;
  • If you want just Junior Membership.

Please Note: the Membership category of ‘Hardcopy Flight UK Member’ will increase to £20 from 1st August 2021.

* Please Note – the consent of a parent or guardian will be required for junior membership

Family membership. If 2 or more members from the same household wish to join then the additional members will be ‘free’ but WILL NOT receive their own copy of Flight magazine


Annual subscriptions are renewable on the 31st July each calendar year. If you should join part way through our “membership year” the appropriate back issues of “Flight” will be posted/emailed to you upon receipt of the full annual subscription. 

If members do not wish to receive back issues then the subscription is calculated on a pro rata basis – 75% of full rate for 3 issues, 50% for 2 and 25% for 1 issue.
